The Democrats are indeed the party of hypocrisy as the Left claims to be “pro-woman” despite one of Kamala Harris’ Vice presidential finalists, Arizona United States Senator Mark Kelly, previously having a restraining order filed against him by his ex-wife in 2004 that his ex-spouse argued needed to be enforced for “the best interest” of her and their two children. Kelly and his ex-wife divorced in 2004. Kelly then remarried Gabby Giffords in 2007, but Kelly first met Giffords in 2003. Divorce can become messy, but Kelly has refused transparency about the details of his divorce in the past. If Kelly does not want to provide the American people transparency on this subject, then he and the Democrat Party should announce he is no longer a VP finalist.
On July 8th, 2004, a judge in Galveston County, Texas, granted Mark Kelly’s ex-wife’s request to issue a restraining order against Kelly, which Kelly’s ex-wife stated was in her and the couple’s children’s best interest for the order to be enforced. The restraining order stated that Kelly may not cause “bodily injury to the petitioner or the children.”
Kamala Harris claims to be fighting for the rights of women. Harris recently falsely implied that if President Trump wins reelection, women and minorities will lose their rights, “Donald Trump wants to take our country backwards to a time before many of our fellow Americans had full freedoms and rights, but we believe in a brighter future that makes room for all Americans. We believe in a future where every person has the opportunity not just to get by, but get ahead.”
However, the language of the restraining order filed against Mark Kelly reads harshly, to say the least. With this in mind, why didn’t Kamala’s team release a statement detailing Kelly’s divorce? If Kamala were “fighting for women,” as she claims to be, Kamala would have released a memo explaining her vetting of Kelly.
Laura Loomer posted on the Mark Kelly developments, ” Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona is being vetted as a possible VP pick by Kamala Harris. He doesn’t want people knowing about his shady divorce and the restraining order that was issued against him in 2004. He goes to great lengths to keep these documents private. Sadly for him, but luckily for all of you, I have obtained these documents. Do you really want a man in the White House serving as Vice President whose own wife had to issue a restraining order against him to protect herself and her two minor daughters? I thought @TheDemocrats were the party of “women’s rights” and #MeToo? What did Mark Kelly do to his ex wife and 2 daughters that compelled a judge in Galveston County, Texas to issue a restraining order against him on July 8th, 2004?”
The job of Vice President is the second most powerful job in the world. If Kelly wants such an important job, he must explain the details of his divorce. If Democrats and Kelly believe otherwise, then the Left’s work to cover up Kelly’s divorce from American voters is the latest example of Democrat hypocrisy.
