Democrats Slam Troops Stopping Drug Boats: Outrage Unfolds

When regular folks at home hear about our military going after drug boats in the Caribbean, most of us say, “Good. It’s about time.” We know what’s coming into our country—fentanyl, meth, poison that’s killing our neighbors, our children, our communities. And now that President Trump is back in office, he’s not sitting around like the last administration did. He’s actually doing something about it. But what do we get from some of these Democrats in Washington? They’re not cheering for our troops. No—they’re threatening them.

That’s exactly what Democrat Senator Mark Kelly did on national television. He went on ABC’s “This Week” and basically warned young service members that they could be prosecuted for following Trump’s orders. Let that sink in. A sitting senator, supposedly supporting the troops, is out there saying that if they follow orders to stop drug boats—boats bringing death into our country—they might end up in legal trouble. What kind of message is that?

Kelly, who used to be a Navy pilot, should know better. He’s been in uniform. He knows what it means to follow orders. And yet, here he is, throwing shade on the very people he once stood beside. Why? Because he hates that Trump is calling the shots again. That’s all this is about—politics. He’s more interested in scoring points than stopping the flow of drugs that are wiping out towns across America.

And he’s not alone. Senator Ruben Gallego from Arizona went even further. He actually called these military actions “murder.” That’s right—he said our troops are committing murder. That’s disgusting. These are men and women who signed up to protect us. They’re taking out narco-terrorists, not going after innocent people. But Gallego and Kelly want to paint them as criminals.

Let’s be real here. These drug boats aren’t floating around carrying fruit and vegetables. They’re loaded with fentanyl and other deadly drugs. They’re coming from places like Venezuela and Colombia—countries that are working with terrorist groups and cartels. These aren’t just criminals. They’re enemies of the American people. And if we don’t stop them before they reach our shores, we pay the price in dead Americans.

Which is why what President Trump is doing makes sense. He’s using our military to stop these threats before they get here. He’s not waiting for another overdose epidemic. He’s not waiting for another community to be torn apart. He’s acting now. And unlike the last president, he’s got the guts to make hard decisions.

Thankfully, not everyone in Washington has lost their minds. Senator Lindsey Graham, a veteran and legal expert, pushed back hard against the nonsense coming from Kelly and Gallego. He made it clear: our troops are following lawful orders. They’re doing what needs to be done to protect this country, and they shouldn’t be shamed or threatened for it.

Graham hit the nail on the head. This isn’t murder. It’s self-defense. And it’s long overdue. When Reagan had to deal with communists in Grenada, he acted. When Bush had to deal with Noriega in Panama, he acted. Now Trump is acting to defend America from a new kind of enemy—narco-terrorists bringing poison across the ocean.

At the end of the day, most Americans are tired of the excuses, tired of the talking heads, and tired of politicians who care more about feelings than facts. We want results. We want safety. And we want leaders who stand with our troops, not against them.

So when Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego start talking about “legal jeopardy” and “murder,” remember what’s really going on. They’re trying to scare our military out of doing their job. They’re trying to tie President Trump’s hands. But we see through it. And we stand with the men and women in uniform who are doing the hard work to keep our country safe.

The silent majority is awake. We’ve had enough. And we’re not backing down.
