EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Former Prosecutor And Congressman Lee Zeldin Joins Loomer Unleashed To Discuss The Attempted Assassination Of President Trump

Former Prosecutor and Congressman Lee Zeldin joined Loomer Unleashed Thursday to discuss the attempted assassination of President Trump. Zeldin stated that Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas could face charges “Depending on what they knew.” Zeldin also called for there to be answers to the fundamental questions surrounding the attempted assassination of President Trump to be answered in days and not weeks, months, or years. Monday begins key Congressional Oversight into the attempted assassination of President Trump as Kim Cheatle will be on Capitol Hill testifying to the House Oversight Committee.

Laura Loomer and Lee Zeldin had a critical three-minute conversation during Loomer Unleashed Thursday:

Loomer: “Do you think that people who knew and didn’t take action, when they say they identified a shooter before President Trump took the stage, do you think that these people should possibly face criminal charges? People like Kim Cheatle, agents on the ground and Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas?”

Zeldin: “Depending on what they knew, there is a possibility that the facts may lead to criminal charges. I mean, I am a former prosecutor. You take a crime, and you see whether or not the elements of that crime are there and can be proved in court. Then you go. It doesn’t matter who is responsible for it. We are not looking for a particular person and trying to find a crime. You ask your question, you do your investigation, and you see if the facts are there to fit the elements of a criminal statute on the books. No one should get immunity from that just because they were somebody in law enforcement. Listen, there is a possibility that the facts here will lead to even people in law enforcement being held responsible.”

Loomer: “So what kind of charges are we potentially talking about? Accessory to the murder of an attempted United States President? Or Accessory to murder, given the fact that Corey Comperatore, the firefighter who tragically lost his life, was the victim of one of the bullets that hit him in the head and killed him. Do you think that they could potentially be charged with accessory to murder and attempted murder?”

Zeldin: “Depending on what the answers are to the questions that are out there, what the facts are, if it can be proven, then yeah, there is a possibility that there will be law enforcement officers that will be prosecuted for their role, but it really requires an investigation, and I do not want to start speculating or making assumptions. I want to be able to have a conversation with you within days, not months, not years, where you and I are armed with black-and-white facts like the names of the people. Who knew what and when? And listen, there might be people in law enforcement who had information, and they were waiting for some type of response. There might have been a sharpshooter on a roof and was looking for a green light and not getting one and you have to figure out who in that chain of command was not making sure that the President was protected.”

Laura Loomer captioned her conversation with Zeldin on X, ” Former Prosecutor and Congressman @leezeldin Lee Zeldin joined me on @LoomerUnleashed to talk about the attempted assassination of President Trump. I asked Rep. Zeldin if he foresees criminal charges for  @SecretService Director Kim Cheatle, DHS Secretary @SecMayorkas , and Secret Service and law enforcement agents on the ground at the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania who let Trump take the stage while knowing a shooter was on the roof nearby. Zeldin said we could see law enforcement officers get criminally charged if the investigation shows they had information that could have saved lives, but failed to act on it.”

Rep. Zeldin brings up a valid point: American voters must know the true story behind the horrific events of Butler, Pennsylvania, in a matter of days, not weeks, especially since there is an election right around the corner. Hopefully, more answers will become available to the American people following Congressional Oversight into the attempted assassination of President Trump that will start on Monday.
