Thursday at the Republican National Convention, Laura Loomer interviewed John David Longo, the Mayor of Slippery Rock in Butler County, Pennsylvania. Mayor Longo gave the opening remarks and led the Pledge of Allegiance at President Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Longo stated that before the shooting, Trump’s rally had a rock concert-like style, with everyone having a good time. Longo also informed us that President Trump was in high spirits during his meet-and-greet with him before the shooting. Longo went on to state that it was wrong that Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle is blaming local law enforcement for the horrific events that took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Longo said, “Local law enforcement always defers to individuals in the Secret Service, especially with an event of that magnitude and size with President Donald J. Laura Loomer and Mayor Longo had an eye-opening conversation regarding Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle’s horrific attempts to blame local law enforcement for the failures that led to President Trump’s near death in Butler County, Pennsylvania.
Loomer: “We see that Kim Cheatle is blaming local law enforcement instead of taking responsibility for this tragedy, and of course, we know federal barriers are the responsibility of the United States Secret Service. How do you feel as a mayor in a town located in Butler County that the Secret Service Director is blaming your local law enforcement? I saw yesterday that the Butler County District Attorney said Cheatle needs to stop blaming the local law enforcement, as what happened in Butler, Pennsylvania, was the responsibility of the Secret Service.”
Mayor Longo: “Ultimately, I agree that local law enforcement always defers to individuals in the Secret Service, especially with an event of that magnitude and size with President Donald J. Trump. So, I certainly do not appreciate local law enforcement bearing the brunt. I do think individuals in this current administration right now need to take a look in how they played a part in this failure.”

Kim Cheatle’s failures are bad enough, but blaming local law enforcement when federal authorities were clearly in charge of security takes Cheatle’s disgusting actions to another level. One thing is for sure: the failures in Butler, Pennsylvania, that almost claimed President Trump’s life are one hundred percent the fault of the Secret Service and federal authorities. Anyone saying otherwise is spreading misinformation. Good for Mayor Longo for not allowing his local law enforcement to face the brunt of Cheatle’s horrific lies.
