The RINO hate towards President Trump has not faded. The X account, “Friends of Tom Leek,” which essentially serves as the campaign messaging for Florida State Senate Seven Candidate Tom Leek, appeared to swipe at President Trump recently by posting, “Tom Leek doesn’t need to buy his endorsements.” President Trump has endorsed Leek’s opponent, David Shoar. Trump likely endorsed Shoar over Leek’s role in igniting a pointless GOP Civil War last winter. Leek endorsed Ron DeSantis for President and donated to his presidential campaign. Leek also voted “Yes” on amending “Florida’s Resign To Run Law,” which allowed DeSantis to run for President without resigning from Florida’s Governorship. Liberals and RINOS have long falsely claimed that those endorsed by Trump “pay” for the endorsement. Leek’s campaign, which appears to spread a liberal lie about President Trump, is another reason why Florida Seven State Senate voters can’t trust Tom Leek.
On August 10th, The X account, “Friends of Tom Leek,” which essentially serves as the campaign messaging for Florida State Senate Seven Candidate Tom Leek, posted “Tom Leek doesn’t need to buy his endorsements. Tom Leek is proud to be endorsed and trusted by conservative leaders who personally know his values, record and willingness to fight for our cause.”
Liberals and RINOS have long falsely claimed that those endorsed by Trump “pay” for the endorsement. However, President Trump likely did not endorse Leek because Leek went all in to ignite a GOP Civil War by supporting Ron DeSantis.
During his time in the Florida State House, Tom Leek voted “Yes” on new language in Florida’s Resign to Run law, which read, “Any person seeking the office of President or Vice President of the United States is not subject to the requirements of chapter 99, Florida Statutes, which govern candidate qualifying, specifically those which require the submission of certain documents, full and public disclosures of financial interests, petition signatures, or the payment of filing fees.”
Leek also endorsed DeSantis over President Trump.
Worse, Tom Leek financially contributed to creating divisions within the GOP by donating eight times in 2023 to Ron DeSantis or PACs supporting DeSantis’ presidential campaign. It is very telling that Leek donated to DeSantis in late November of 2023, a time when GOP presidential primary polling showed President Trump taking a commanding lead in Iowa and nationally.
President Trump has endorsed Leek’s GOP Primary Opponent David Shoar. President Trump’s TruthSocial endorsement read, “David Shoar is a tremendous America First Patriot who is running to represent the incredible people of Florida’s 7th State Senate District!”

Leek’s campaign appearing to spread a liberal lie about President Trump is another reason why Florida Seven State Senate voters can’t trust Tom Leek. Florida’s Seventh State Senate voters must ensure Tom Leek is overwhelmingly defeated at the ballot box.
