House Minority Leader Jeffries Attacks President Trump’s Nominees “Qualifications” Despite Congressional Dems Support Of DEI Policies

Congressional Democrats love embracing hypocrisy. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries stated on CNN that RFK JR was “totally unqualified” to be Health and Human Services Secretary. It’s ironic that Minority Leader Jeffries wants to attack Trump’s nomination when Jeffries himself is empowered, consulting firms on questionable merits at best. FEC records show that Minority Leader Jeffries sent over $1 million to the home of Judge Merchan’s daughter, Loren Merchan. Jeffries’s FEC records state that most payments were made to Loren Merchan’s firm Authentic Campaigns primarily for “digital strategy.” What qualifications does Loren Merchan have to “consult” with one of the most powerful Democrats on Capitol Hill? Is it just a coincidence that Loren Merchan’s father happened to preside over President Trump’s trial? It is important to note that Minority Leader Jeffries and his Congressional Democrats have embraced DEI policies, which is the complete opposite of nominating people for positions based on qualifications. Congressional Democrats should look at themselves in the mirror before they criticize President Trump’s nominees.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries attacked President Trump’s nomination of RFK JR as HHS Secretary, telling CNN, “We understand he(RFK JR)is completely and totally unqualified. We need serious folks with a serious background, and RFK JR, of course, is none of the above.”

It’s ironic that Minority Leader Jeffries wants to attack Trump’s nomination actions when Jeffries himself is empowered consulting firms on questionable merits at best. FEC records show that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has sent $1.5 million to Authentic Campaigns. The FEC’s Schedule B shows Jeffries mailed the money to Loren Merchan’s home in Richmond, Virginia.

Loren Merchan’s Authentic Campaigns website describes her firm’s work as “a comprehensive provider, we pride ourselves on being your ultimate destination for all things digital. With a proven track record of collaborating with numerous partners, we bring a wealth of experience in digital execution and general consulting to the table.” 

The Authentic Campaigns website then continues, listing “general consulting” for social media as one of its “services.” 

It is important to note that during President Trump’s Bronx rally, Rep. Jeffries posted, “The Boston Red Sox are more popular in the South Bronx than Donald Trump. Go home.”

Rep. Jeffries’s “go back home” language is interesting as another Authentic Campaigns client, New Jersey Rep. Mikie Sherrill, posted that President Trump should “Go back to court” following President Trump’s New Jersey rally, which occurred a week before President Trump’s Bronx rally. If Loren Merchan is behind these social media posts, what qualifications did she have to become one of the Congressional Democrats, top media consultants? Is it just a coincidence that Loren Merchan’s father happened to preside over President Trump’s trial?

It is important to note that Minority Leader Jeffries and his Congressional Democrats have embraced DEI policies, which is the complete opposite of nominating people for positions based on qualifications. Congressional Democrats have made quite clear that if the Left ever retakes the House, they will enforce DEI within Capitol Hill hiring as Congressional Democrats released a press release last April reading, “Tri-Caucus Chairs Urge Democratic Leadership to Restore, Strengthen Office of Diversity & Inclusion.”

Rep. Jeffries has embraced DEI policy as he criticized the United States Supreme Court decision in the Fair Admissions v. President and Fellows of Harvard College and Students for Fair Admissions v. the University of North Carolina case, which stated colleges could not factor race in admissions. Part of Jeffries’s statement criticizing SCOTUS’s ruling read, “The court has turned a blind eye to systemic racism and has failed to uphold our nation’s values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

Over the next few months, America is going to witness people like Hakeem Jeffries, who will attack President Trump’s political nominations with false allegations when in fact, the reality is that the Democrat attacking Trump’s nominee is the one guilty of the allegations. The Democrats never fail to show the American people that they are indeed the party of hypocrisy.
