The Pritzker family owns Hyatt Hotels. Unsurprisingly, Pritzker and Durbin share the same policies. Pritzker and Durbin support open borders and believe President Trump’s nominees are “extremist” and “conspiracy theorists.” It is clear that Senate Democrats’ obstruction stems from orders from their most important donors.
FEC records show that Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and his family have been donating to top-ranking Senate Judiciary Democrat Dick Durbin since 2017. The Pritzker family owns Hyatt Hotels and is one of the biggest donors to the Democrat Party. JB Pritzker’s influence within the Democrat Party is so strong that Pritzker was the defacto host for the 2024 Democrat National Convention.
Governor Pritzker and Senator Durbin are obsessed with obstructing President Trump’s nominees. Governor Pritzker recently posted on his X account, “Already, we’re seeing Donald Trump promote conspiracy theorists and far-right extremists into cabinet positions.”
It should come as no surprise that during Kash Patel’s confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday, Dick Durbin held up a massive photo of Kash Patel and Laura Loomer in a pathetic attempt to paint Patel as an extremist.
Following Kash Patel’s confirmation hearing on Thursday, Senator Durbin’s Senate Judiciary Democrats wrote on X that Patel was a conspiracy theorist because he took a photo with Laura Loomer. The post read, “Kash Patel, Donald Trump’s FBI Director pick, posed with far-right conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer. Loomer called the September 11th terrorist attack an ‘inside job.’”
Senator Durbin and Governor Pritzker’s unhinged anger toward President Trump’s nominees stems from President Trump’s secure border policies. Before Kash Patel’s confirmation hearing, Senator Durbin looked right into Loomer Unleashed’s camera and kept walking after we asked him, “What qualifies you to vote against Kash Patel when you support dangerous open border policies?”
Governor JB Pritzker despises President Trump’s secure border policies so much that he spread a conspiracy theory that ICE raided an Illinois elementary school. Pritzker’s post, which was hit with community notes on X, read, “After a week of Republicans sowing fear and chaos, the first reports of raids in Chicago are at an elementary school. Targeting children and separating families is cruel and un-American.”
It is important to note that President Trump has stated he would like to use the FBI to enforce his secure border policies. Last winter, Patel was amongst those leading the charge in the fight back against Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Chuck Schumer’s mass amnesty and Ukraine funding bill that the Left disguised as a “border bill.” Patel described Kamala, Biden, and Schumer’s bill, saying,” You need a commander and chief who will go and secure the southern border. Joe Biden has refused to do that. He does not need a bill that is 350 pages long that gives money to Ukraine.”
JB Pritzker’s support for secure borders and President Trump’s nominees make clear that the most powerful Democrat donors are encouraging the Senate Democrats’ obstruction. This fact makes it critical that no GOP Senators join JB Pritzker’s obstruction crusade.
