Unlike other media outlets, we have been working to expose Jamie Raskin and Eric Swalwell’s attempts to deny President Trump the presidency since early June. On Monday, many in conservative media were justifiably outraged after a clip of Jamie Raskin emerged saying that he and Eric Swalwell will propose a bill in Congress on January 6, 2025, to deny Trump’s electoral votes because Trump is “guilty of insurrection.” It was comic to see some conservatives act like this was “breaking news.” The reality is that Raskin has been saying this for months, and Loomer Unleashed confronted Eric Swalwell on his and Raskin’s plan back in June. Ironically, some in conservative media referred to us as “crazy” for questioning Swalwell at the time, but the reality of the situation is that we were ahead of the curve. To say many owe us an apology would be a significant understatement.
In the viral clip released Monday, Jamie Raskin said, “It will be up to us[House Democrats] to tell Donald Trump on January 6, 2025, that he is disqualified.”
Laura Loomer captioned the video, “In June, I told everyone that House Democrats are focusing all of their messaging going into November around President Trump “being an insurrectionist” and I explained how @RepRaskin and @RepSwalwell are trying to bring a bill to the floor of the House to “declare Trump as an insurrectionist” because they plan on saving their bill for January 3, 2025 at 12:03 pm right after @RepJeffries is sworn in as Speaker of the House. @TheCharlesDowns and I have been reporting on this for months and Charles even confronted Raskin and Swalwell about it on video. It’s not new information. We said this would happen, and now the lazy and slow conservative pundits want to pretend like this is new…. Why are conservatives always so slow?”
Rep. Swalwell ran like a coward in the Halls of Congress in June after we asked him, “How is it going, Congressman Swalwell? You were too scared to talk to me last time. But I will ask you this question again: How can Congressional Democrats claim to be saving Democracy when you are working on a bill with Jamie Raskin that would kick Trump off the ballot?”
Loomer Unleashed’s June article laid out Raskin and Swalwell’s plot, “In theory, Raskin and Swalwell’s legislation to kick Trump off the ballot could be enacted after the election. The new Congress will be sworn in on January 3rd, 2025, following November’s election results. If President Trump beats Biden (now Kamala Harris) but Democrats take the House and hold the Senate, Raskin and Swalwell could introduce a bill declaring Trump an “insurrectionist.” If passed and signed by Joe Biden before January 6th, 2025, Congress could refuse to count Trump’s electoral votes on January 6th.”
Loomer Unleashed is always ahead of the curve, especially regarding critical issues like the Congressional Democrats’ attack on America’s election process. To say that many in the media owe us an apology would be an understatement. However, we only care about educating our readers, so if an apology happens, that would be wonderful, but it is not a make-or-break moment for us.
