President Trump Nominates Pete Hegseth As Secretary of Defense

President Trump is serious about ridding the United States military of wokeness. Trump nominated Pete Hegseth as his Secretary of Defense. Hegseth is on record countless times criticizing the United States military’s woke policies. Hegseth will be quite the upgrade over Outgoing Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin who refused to answer Loomer Unleashed’s question about DEI policies in the United States military making Americans less safe. Incoming Secretary of Defense Hegseth will have a lot of work to do to rid the Pentagon of Austin’s DEI policies. According to the Pentagon’s “Department of Defense Equity Action Plan 2023 Update,” the DOD must integrate DEI into the DOD’s planning tools. Secretary Austin’s leadership has also resulted in an office of DEI being created within the Pentagon. President Trump’s selection of Hegseth shows he is committed to following through on his promises to voters.

Incoming Secretary of Defense Hegseth will be quite the upgrade over Outgoing Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, who refused to answer Loomer Unleashed’s question, “Secretary Austin, are the DOD DEI’s policies putting Americans’ safety at risk?”

Incoming Secretary of Defense Hegseth will have a lot of work to do to rid the Pentagon of Austin’s DEI policies. Under Secretary Austin, the Pentagon enforced the Department of Defense Equity Action Plan, which demands the “integration of environmental/economic justice tools into DOD planning tools for decision-making. Incorporate Environmental Justice Screening and the Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tools into the Defense Climate Assessment tool” and “train DoD Climate Assessment Tool users, a community of DoD installation planners and decision-makers, on environmental justice principles and how to include these principles and corresponding data into DoD planning processes.”

Secretary Austin’s leadership has also resulted in an office of DEI being created within the Pentagon. The Pentagon’s DEI mission statement reads, “The Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) promotes Diversity in the Department of Defense (DoD). ODEI envisions a Department of Defense that reflects the face of the Nation. To that end, we seek a Department that competes for the best and brightest talent our Nation has to offer. We focus our efforts on emerging talent to ensure that we successfully attract, recruit, develop and retain a highly-skilled Total Force capable of meeting current and future mission requirements.”
