In a striking display of Jasmine Crockett’s power, Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY), a prominent New York Democrat Congressman and heir to the Levi Strauss fortune, declined to condemn inflammatory comments made by Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) during her recent commencement address at Tougaloo College, where she encouraged graduates to “use a chair” against her haters.
As he headed toward the US Capitol to vote on Tuesday, Loomer Unleashed contributor Charles Downs asked Rep. Dan Goldman, “Do you agree with your colleague Jasmine Crockett’s incitement of violence, suggesting Democrats should use a chair to attack Republican haters?” Goldman responded, “She is not inciting violence.” Loomer Unleashed followed up with an additional question, asking, “So saying to use a chair to attack your haters isn’t inciting violence?” Goldman deflected, stating, “No go learn about what happened on January 6th if you want to learn about inciting violence.”
Goldman’s refusal to denounce Crockett underscores her growing influence within the Democrat Congressional Caucus. Federal Election Commission (FEC) records reveal that both Crockett and Goldman have each contributed $50,000 to the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) in 2025, a pivotal organization in the Democrats’ strategy to reclaim the House majority in 2026. Crockett’s ability to match the financial contributions of Goldman, a multimillionaire with deep ties to the Levi Strauss empire, highlights her rising clout among House Democrats. Such financial parity is rare for a relatively new member of Congress like Crockett, who was first elected to Congress in 2022. FEC records also reveal that Crockett and Goldman are amongst the top Democrat Congressional Donors to the DCCC in 2025.
It is also worth noting Rep. Goldman’s ties to Authentic Campaigns, a political consulting firm owned by Loren Merchan, the daughter of Judge Juan Merchan. Judge Merchan presided over the April 2024 trial led by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg against President Donald Trump, which was clearly a politically motivated “witch hunt.” FEC records prove that Goldman paid $162,091.92 to Authentic Campaigns, including a payment on March 26, 2024, just weeks before Trump’s trial began on April 15, 2024. Notably, these payments were directed to Loren Merchan’s personal home residence in Richmond, Virginia, a property valued at approximately $639,000. In an apparent attempt to obscure the connection, Goldman’s FEC filings listed the recipient as “Authentic Campaign” rather than “Authentic Campaigns.” This misspelling has raised questions about transparency in Goldman’s financial dealings, and has raised questions about why he was trying to mislead people regarding the real name of his vendor.
Rep. Goldman’s involvement in anti-Trump-related legal proceedings extends beyond his financial contributions. Goldman publicly stated that he “deposed” Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney, prior to Cohen’s testimony in the April 2024 trial.
Dan Goldman’s refusal to denounce Jasmine Crockett reveals the coastal elite Democrats’ relentless determination to “Get Trump”. The Democrat Party is so desperate to undermine President Trump and his agenda, they are now openly utilizing and complimenting violent members of Congress like Crockett to turn their “Get Trump” scheme into a “Hurt Trump” riot.
