The Casey Family’s Political Dynasty Ends In Pennsylvania

The Casey family’s 50-year political dynasty in Pennsylvania ended this week with Dave McCormick’s defeat of Senator Bob Casey Jr. Senator Bob Casey Jr. is the son of former Pennsylvania Governor Bob Casey Sr. There has been a Casey elected to Pennsylvania office since 1963. In 2018, Senator Bob Casey cruised to a 12% victory. During the summer and early fall months of 2024, Senator Casey likely believed he would cruise to reelection again as polling from his race showed him constantly leading his opponent by double digits. Senator Casey’s reelection prospects began changing on September 11th, when Loomer Unleashed first confronted Casey about Kamala Harris’s radical policies of open borders, defunding the police, legalizing fentanyl, and abolishing ICE. From September 11th-26th, Loomer Unleashed questioned Casey numerous times on Kamala’s support of open borders, defunding the police, legalizing fentanyl, and men in women’s sports. Following our September press of Casey, which resulted in our confrontation videos of Casey receiving millions of views, October polling in the Pennsylvania Senate Race showed Casey’s lead eroding to the margin of error. McCormick then went on to beat Casey by .06%. Casey’s defeat in Pennsylvania is historic as an entrenched elected Democrat from a rustbelt state was beaten by the MAGA movement. Loomer Unleashed was proud to play a role in the Republican’s historic 2024 victory in Pennsylvania.

Notable polling showing a massive Casey lead includes a Fox News poll from July 13th showing Casey leading by 13 points and a New York Times poll from August 6th showing Casey leading by 14 points. A CBS News poll from September 6th shows Casey leading by 7 points.

Senator Casey’s reelection prospects began changing on September 11th, when Loomer Unleashed asked him, Do you agree with Kamala Harris’s calls to legalize Fentanyl? It is a pretty big question, Senator Casey. Are you sure you do not want to answer?”

We continued questioning Casey, asking him next about Border Czar Harris’s open borders: “Do you support Kamala Harris’s job as Biden’s Border Czar and her calls to defund the police and abolish ICE?”

On September 12th, we asked Casey, “Why did you vote to allow men to play women’s sports?”

Loomer Unleashed also questioned Senator Casey about his violent rhetoric, asking him after the second Trump assassination in September,  “Hello, Senator Casey. Will you apologize for calling President Trump a threat to democracy in the wake of the second Trump assassination attempt where the shooter accused President Trump of being a threat to democracy? So, will you apologize for calling Trump a threat to democracy? You have called Trump a threat to democracy countless times, Senator; we have the receipts. Are you sure you do not want to answer?”

Then, on September 26th, Senator Bob Casey hid behind law enforcement as he left the Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee building to avoid Loomer Unleashed questions asking him, “Senator Casey, do you support Kamala Harris’s job as Border Czar and her calls to defund the police?”
